Another of the sandwiches that became illustrations for "Dancer." Like its companions, it survived the fire only because I had a mounted print of it in the working portfolio I brought to Manhattan in 1983. I had photographed the woman there in early 1967, the barn in Ohio during the summer of 1968 while driving from New Jersey to Michigan and back to visit relatives. (I was living in Jersey at the time, working as the news and picture editor of Morris County's Daily Record.) Tri-X, probably the VT Canons or the IIIG Leica though maybe the barn with a 135mm f/2.8 Spiratone on my Pentax H1A. The remainder of the data was of course destroyed.
